Narayanpur Balaji Temple - 19 Sep 2010

Narayanpur Balaji and Saswad Shiv Temples...!

A trip to Narayanpur via Saswad...

Balaji temple is around 52 km from pune station... Its a nice place to see, on the way we need to cross a mountain. You can see the beauty of nature, on the way to Narayanpur.

I went with my office colleagues (Friends).

We parked our vehicles and entering in to temple.
The surrounding of Balaji temple is too clean and beauty. Its completely outer from pune but awesome.
We realized that if it is small drizzling then it would be great. But unfortunately it was not there.
We have to keep our shoes and belongings to separate place.

Due to security reasons, they won't allow to take snaps inside the temple. This is the entrance of Balaji temple.
Because of festival, they decorated the temple. Mean time we could see pairs of  horse, Camel and Elephant in front of the temple.
They made a tower with only original flowers (Very beautiful).

Hmmm... I know what you are thinking... !!!

Its around 3 feets away from those elephants ok.  :-)

Hopefully Balaji (statue) will go around the temple on top of these elephants ( but not sure).
Frequently somebody pour water on elephants legs because its very hot...!
See elephants are also decorated :-)
They gave big Laddu (Prasad...)

Here is the interesting thing, they gave a mini lunch for every one... Rice, chatni, sambar and a sweet made by rava (suji)...

Lot of people are eating over there with out any hesitation...
Lot many people are coming by 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers. this is a part of the vehicles.
While return, we went pedal boating... very near by Narayanpur...

Need to eat more to complete one round in that boat.. hmmm.. we did that .. :-)

This is Shiv temple in Saswad, this was constructed during the period of Paandav.

The temple made by stones and a river is flowing beside this temple.
Very silent and peace, if you sat on this temple. Unfortunately nobody maintaining this temple :-(.

Hope no need to explain more about this trip.

Good to go by two wheelers, we can enjoy the nature but need to drive around 50 km one way  :-)

We had Tea in balaji temple, it was very sweet. I think, sugar is bit cheap there..:-)

Nice trip if possible you can visit one time...
